Biography

Long Xiao: Works in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital; Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor; graduated from the eight-year program of Peking Union Medical College. Her main research directions are comprehensive treatment of scars and reconstructive surgery. Her professional specialties include emergency trauma management and routine plastic and aesthetic surgery, such as treatment of body surface tumors and individualized treatment of various wounds and scars.

In 2010, she received microsurgery training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, China.
In 2013, she studied at New York University School of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States, specializing in microsurgical treatment of lymphedema.
She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Youth Committee of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.
From 2009 to 2013, she concurrently served as Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
Since 2009, she has served as a member of the Youth Federation of Dongcheng District and Xicheng District, Beijing, respectively.
